About Us

Cultivate SF seeks to catalyze the development of self-sustaining urban agriculture ventures in San Francisco through research, education, and policy advocacy.

Through our research of the opportunities and obstacles connected with urban agriculture in San Francisco, we aim to spur the growth of urban farming businesses in the city and the development of policy to support them. Alongside our research, we provide hands-on education to school groups and the general public through tours of an existing urban farm business - Little City Gardens in the Mission District.

Cultivate SF was founded in 2009 and is affiliated with, but operates separately from, the Little City Gardens business.
